Bass Pro Visits McDonald County

Bass Pro Wonders of Wildlife Museum Outreach Education staff brought live native Missouri animals along with touchable artifacts to the McDonald County High School August 23rd as part of our “Outdoor & Conservation Education” event The event also includesd education stations provided by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Missouri Department of Conservation, Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Forest Service, MAKO Fly Fishers covering a wide range of topics from bear awareness, to endangered species. Other displays included an extensive bone and fur display provided by Mrs. Rebecca Hall, and steer roping lessons from renowned O’Brien Farms champions Tate and Roper O’Brien. The goal of the event is to introduce youth to animals of Missouri, develop an appreciation of the outdoors and conservation, local places to visit, and hands-on activities.
